Crash Landing

Digital graphic by Penny Jinks

It was supposed to be about pink castles

in the clouds

with turrets and terraces,

tassles and tinsel;

but then she fell-

and

the real world crashed into the make-believe

like the space junk *

about to reenter the atmosphere,

shaking apart

before the crash landing,

or

the drug runners

caught in the dark channel

under a purple night sky

with a cargo of opiates

for the junkies.

* space junk

  3. Nice weaving from the pink castles to the real life of drugs and opiates. Great imagination in meshing the two pictures.

    Lovely ~

  4. Many layers in this b/c the space junk reentering the atmosphere could also be just that.

  6. From pink castles and all the things we believe the world should be to the reality of life, drug runners and crap falling from the sky, burning and bursting into us..... Yes Ann, that is definitely when "the real world crashed into the make-believe", and most certainly in high-powered zoom mode! Intense!
