Beautiful Dreamer

Soft-as-peach lips part to protest

the flash of your kiss in her mirror.

Too late

she is seduced by her

still vision of turquoise sea

in mother-of-pearl shell.

Captured

by translucent soul.

Enraptured

in luminescent beauty.

Transcendent

in ethereal

light of

grace.

  1. You captured the essence of the luminous photo well, Ann.

  2. Came over to read your magpie--I must have missed this yesterday, Anne. It's lovely, serene, and yet thought provoking too, with its hint of capture and containment, of the photo superimposed on the self.

  3. Thank you both:
Tess - yes that is exactly what I hoped to get at pitifully in words, essence of light.
Joy - yes, always the other side, I can't help seeking it out; a simultaneously exhilarating/depressing pursuit.
